Love the bunny. When I said you are funny, I meant charming and lovely. Listening to you pick stuff is fun. You’ve stayed with us for 29 days straight. Thanks so much.
Ceri thank you for having made this mixed media project without prompts! I appreciate that every page is a new beginning for creativity. I’m happy that I made some of my videos a few days ahead because as you know “life happens” 😊 31 videos is a lot of work, but so rewarding! Cheers from BC, Canada 🍁
I'm working on a washi page that should turn out really pretty. Can't wait to get it finished. I've had to take a break due to some health issues. I'm feeling much better now and should be able to get back on track soon.
Washi backgrounds are so nice, particularly florals. Pretty result! I can hardly believe the month is almost done. It’s a bit of a marathon rub for you!
I am a complete beginner with mixed media, I dabble with water colours because I can not draw but you have totally opened my eyes to this art. Your content makes me feel like I am crafting at my kitchen table with an old friend 😊 I also love that you shop from your stash and you don’t have numerous links to buy lots of supplies. I love your tips on gluing the washi tape down!! Who new? 😆 Keep doing what you do Ceri xx
Lovely! There is a distinct Ceri touch in all you do, even if you do a lot of different things.I think I could pick out something you have made from a pile of art. I find this moving and fantastic. The funny thing is that when you deliberate with yourself what a pice needs, color or something, I always think "this" and then you do just that. I find we have a lot in common in how we think when i comes to art. This month must have been so rewarding and exhasting at the same time. Not jyst physically but you have also put in a lot of you in the pieces. I get a lot of inspiration from you. I hope you have an amazing weekend.
Ceri: great page! However, this whole project was quite an undertaking. And I think I feel your exhaustion. I know, as much as I love creating, gluing and mixed media, sometimes you just need a break. Human Nature! This book is amazing and will be a delight for you to go thru and see what you have accomplished. Amazing! Just two more pages. Carol from California
When you said you were a collector I knew exactly where you were coming from. I've been doing crafts just about my whole life. My problem is when I start a new craft I need to buy everything I see for that new craft. Then six months later I'm off on a new craft and the cycle starts all over again. However, I did find a partial solution, I opened an Esty shop. Now I can buy most stuff from my distributor, keep what I want, and then put the rest in my shop. So if I have to buy 3 of one item I can keep one and put the other 2 in my shop. Being disabled and on SSDI it helps me be able to afford my craft supplies.
Love your work, as usual!! Ceri, you mention fussy cutting and that's what I'm doing as I'm watching and listening. I have a tip for you that I just figured out. When there are small spaces you want to cut out, (I'm cutting stamped letters and numbers right now), I use a small hole punch to start the spot and then it's much easier to fussy cut. It's saved me tons of time!! Again, I'm amazed at all your wonderful ideas.
Fun one. For my concertina, as big as yours, I did all the pages first with painted tissue paper and then I put my rectangles on that,, A 5 size and it's such a great looking book. No white whatsoever.
My bigger issue with supplies is how in the world to organize them as I was generally organized before I started to formalise said organisation. The fact that I will buy all of the colors of anything, to me, isn't an issue. I have an ingrained NEED for all of the colors.Lol. I often wished I had owned a paint store to have any color I wanted, heck with sales. 😅 I do LOVE this washi tape idea with the most adorable bunny❤
I didn't film ahead either and I knew I'd be going out of town. I'm not beating myself up about it, and I hope you won't either. It gives people permission to do it in their own time.
Hi Ceri ! Thank you once again for another idea about using washi tape ! I love the adorable bunny …Peter Rabbit if a favourite of mine and he just looks like him ! The whimsical touch really brings on a happy feeling and a smile !! With your prompts I glued them on card stock and cut them up then randomly choose 5 and a bonus one just incase I need to change one . I have done 52 of them …just because I had 52 pre-cut postcards !! Thank you so much for sharing them with us ! By the way, with washing tape I fold a tiny triangle on one corner so it will be easier to find the edge ! Have a wonderful Saturday with Biscuit !! Hope you have nice weather as well !! See you tomorrow !! Warmest regards….Lorraine 🤗😁👋🥰
The March challenge is wonderful! Just an idea for those who want prompts, maybe they could create their own. That would give them the opportunity to challenge themselves! I remember you showing us how to create prompts by writing words popsicle sticks .
Ohhhh, I forgot to mention... Please don't change too much in how you do things. Your neatness makes it so much easier for me to watch. I've watched a few other artists, some of them working in a total mess and it's just too frustrating for me to watch for long. Please don't change. Lol. It's one of the many reasons I like what you do so much. You're organized and neat.
Howdy Ceri👋 Thia is such a sweet page❤🐇 It was such a pleasure to briefly chat with you over on Nicole’s live😊 I am mostly a general listener that has been absolutely loving your March daily challenge💕
Your shopping style is exactly like mine....your after one of something but buy the whole set because down the road you may need it.....then realize later you never used it. Lol
In addition to rings and narrower, long containers, I have used dowels for washi tape. Alas, a collector's mentality out of control is my fate. Washi tape is particularly hard to resist..
Love the bunny. When I said you are funny, I meant charming and lovely. Listening to you pick stuff is fun. You’ve stayed with us for 29 days straight. Thanks so much.
You’re welcome.
I so love this page! So utterly charming Ceri❤❤❤

Me too! Love all of them!
Love this piece Ceri. I've used washi tapes as backgrounds before, fun way to use them up too 💕
Love this, especially the use of the tape. The bunny card is so sweet. Nice companion to the soft panel you did yesterday. As usual, great video. ❤

Thank you and yes I think you’re right my work could be picked out. I’m tired but happy this month has gone so well.
Hi Ceri. Love the Buuny page. He reminds me of a Beatrix Potter character and I love her stuff. TFS Hope you have a great day. 🌞 Big ((HUGS)) ❤
Oh thank you Donna, yes he reminds me of the same character

I think crafters are naturally collectors by nature. I may have the same tendencies. 😂

I really love the washi background with Mr Bunny - you will need a large Ceri coffee after this mammoth month long journey is over.🐇🐰
Can't wait, I’ve loved it but I need a rest now.

I love this! Will the other panels be similar?
Not sure yet.
